Well done to Scott Osler and his team, winning the Aylward Cup this year. Playing a strong Basingstoke & North Hants team at Hartley Wintney, losing the toss, Finch were inserted.

Off to a steady start, but boundaries few and far between, the first few overs kept the score moving losing wickets along the way. Craig Hodges had other ideas and produced a match winning innings with skipper Scott Osler. The runs started to flow and roof tiles and car bodywork began to perish! Posting a very worthy 168 all out in the final of the 15 - 8 ball overs, that total had looked beyond reach at 6pm.

By now the clouds were gathering, and although rain fell in Finchampstead, Hartley Wintney remained dry although very gloomy. Finch had a good bowling attack who delivered a polished performance with Zac, Connor, Liam and Craig all keeping their line and lengths to see the side home to victory. Good support from FInchampstead faithful to see the boys raise the trophy and Craig Hodges was the worth Man of the Match.

Well done to all and hpto of the winning team pictured above. It was a great game to watch and thanks to Hartley Wintney CC for their hospitality.
