We are dedicated to providing a comprehensive cricketing experience for all young players, focusing on development, enjoyment, and a clear pathway to adult cricket.

A Thriving Youth Section

Our Youth Section is a vibrant community, catering to over 150 youngsters aged 7 to 17. We field teams across U9, U11, U13, U15, and U17 age groups, competing in the Berkshire, Surrey, and Hampshire Youth Leagues.

Dedicated Girls' Pathway

We have seen remarkable growth in our girls' cricket program, with teams from U9 to U19. Our vision is to continue expanding this pathway, providing the same opportunities for girls to transition into Women's cricket.

Quality Coaching and Commitment to Safety

Finchampstead holds the prestigious ECB Club Mark Status (awarded in 2005), which guarantees high standards. All our young cricketers receive coaching from ECB qualified coaches, we are incredibly fortunate to have senior club players who provide their time to ensure the continued success of the Youth Section.Alongside this we implement all recommended procedures regarding Safeguarding and First Aid.

Celebrating Success and the Senior Transition

We are proud of our players' achievements, with many boys and girls selected to represent Berkshire, Hampshire, Surrey, and more recently the Southern Vipers. We actively support the transition to senior cricket, and it is a brilliant sight to see youths representing the club at Senior level in every match.

Training Schedule and Core Philosophy

Our comprehensive cricket offer includes structured training sessions:

● Friday: U9s to U13s (including the All-Stars Programme)
● Wednesday: U15s focus
● Monday: Dedicated Girls' Cricket

The ultimate goal of every session is not just to improve cricketing ability but also to ensure players have fun, form new friendships, and ultimately love and enjoy the game. The season culminates in our popular August Bank Holiday Youth Festival.
