Finchampstead’s objective is to be one of the major cricket clubs in the South East, and to help do this
has prepared a Club Vision Statement as follows:
To ensure that every boy and girl is introduced to the game and is given the opportunity to progress through a structured coaching and support programme. Likewise, the Club wishes to ensure that every player will perform to the highest level that their desire and ability allows and play the game fairly and within the spirit of the game.”
In order to help us achieve these objectives and fulfil this vision, the Club has a live 10 year Development Plan, which it is committed to delivering. The infrastructure that we have now put in place, together with the Plan has enabled it to achieve ClubMark status.
Finchampstead Cricket Club has identified that there is a need to reach out and provide coaching to children who are in schools within the community. In order to assist us in delivering this, the Club has received Grant Funding through the “Chance to Shine” and the “Berkshire Sports Partnership” programmes. We are particularly grateful for the financial support that has been provided by these two organisations whose key objectives are to help promote competitive cricket to children in state schools.
As with any organisation who has prepared a challenging Business Plan, Finchampstead has a need to have the support of individuals within the Club, and invariably this relies on the hard work of a number of key individuals – our thanks go out to them for all these efforts. The Club would likewise like to invite and encourage any members to come forward and help us to deliver these challenging targets. In addition to this, we also need to welcome new Partners and Sponsors to help us to raise the much needed funding that we need so as to ensure that we not only achieve our “on the f ield” objectives, but also to support the Community Programme. This began with 6 local schools, but the Club would ideally like to extend further and provide coaching to as many children as possible in the surrounding areas.
As with any organisation who has prepared a challenging Business Plan, Finchampstead has a need to have the support of individuals within the Club, and invariably this relies on the hard work of a number of key individualsour thanks go out to them for all these efforts.”
