Result: Match lost by 8 wickets

This was a very creditable performance by the Eagles all of whom are playing a year down. They posted a good score with solid contributions from Max and Craig.

The bowling was a little wayward at times as the boys endeavoured to break that magic 100 mph mark, but considering they were facing two U-11 county players they stuck to their task pretty well.

Cameron and two of the zillion Tom's [Dyson and Harris] we have at the club especially giving it a good go.

The fielding was generally good, especially chasing down the ball, but we need to do a little more work on long barriers and backing up in the field.

All-in-all though a very promising start for a basically young side.
