In only their second outing of the season, the U13 girls achieved a good result at the Lady Taverners Tournament on Saturday. 4 teams entered, and Finchampstead recorded wins against Reading and Hurst Hurricanes and a loss against Hurst Spitfires. This meant they were placed 2nd in the tournament.
Yet again, all players put in an excellent performance, and the team is gaining strength with more match practice. Notable for their batting were Cat Bryan and Becky Webb who both retired after 23 runs, Sophie Baylis (19 not out) and Rachel Davey (16 not out), notable for bowling were Sophie Baylis and Rachel Davey and excellent wicket keeping from Emma Ward-Webb.
