U13 Girls v Yately

In their first game of this new season the girls came up against one of the stronger teams at Yateley CC.  After a nervous start the bowling settled down and there was some good performances from 2 wickets, including a wicket maiden, for Olivia Squires.  New members Rebecca Harless and Mallika Kshatriya bowled and fielded well and our new wicket-keeper, Holly Dyes-Sheppard, did an excellent job in her first game behind the stumps.  mallika also shows good promise with the bat, scoring 10 not out in her debut.  However, the batting hnours went to our new captain, Ashleigh Muttitt, and her batting partner, Rebecca, who enjoyed an excellent last pair partnership of 49.  Overall, a good opener for the girls and the club is pleased to see this newest team starting to establish itself within the youth section.
