Under stand in Captain Mike Bale the side recorded an emphatic victory on a damp green abrorfield pitch.

With the Finch side wanting a 25 point victory unfortunately loosing the toss did not deter the young bowlers who quickly had Theale and Tilehurst on the back foot. McLean (1-17), Lincoln J (1-12) and Marles Jnr (1-21) reducing the opposition to 45 for 3. The introduction of McDowell (3 - 16) and Dewes JJ (4 - 8) again prooved too much for the batting side who followed a number of the other sides in the division in capitualting to 82 all out after just 35 overs.

An early tea before Marles Jnr (46*) and Reed (22) broke the back of the required total. On the removal of Reed (Theale and Tilehursts only success) Daddee arrived to score just enough runs to prevent his sons deserved 50, no doubt saving on some financial incentive payment!

With disappontment the news of Falklands 25 points leaves the Finches unbelieveably trailing the Newbury outfit by 2 points and needing some better fortune with the coin or weather to have any chance of the table topping finish they really deserve.
