Finchampstead batted first and posted a workmanlike 232 for 6 in the allotted 52 overs. They were indebted to Steve Brogan 79, skipper Gary Loveday 54, and a good 46 not out from Ray Brown to achieve the total.
The hosts batted cautiously at first against the pace of father and son Steve and Phil West. Leg spinner Mark McInnes then bowled unchanged from the pavilion end with wickets falling as well as an increase in the tempo. Seamer Matt Bell joined the attack and his two wickets helped Finches in a stong closing position. But Chiswick & Latymer held out for the final five overs to gain the draw at 197 for 9. Bowling honours to Mark McInnes with 4 for 88 and Steve West 3 for 56 and Matt Bell 2 for 38.

So the team remain unbeaten and in second place in the league table.
