After the fine win over Gerrards Cross, Finchampstead were anxious to maintain the form as the visited Thame Town on Saturday.
Finches asked Thame to bat first in the overcast cloudy conditions.  They had immediate success as Manoj Parman was dismissed first ball.  Three were down for 28 facing the steady pace of Anthony Parson and Simon Hards.  The hosts then produced a 91 partnership before opener Sam Lachlan was out for a well worked 62.  A further 40 runs were put on until the fifth wicket was secured as Jas Bhatti was out for 49.  The hosts struggled to maintain the score against the accurate Finches bowling despite good strokes from skipper Rob Brooks with 40.  At the 60 over closure Thame were 193 for 9.  Good bowling for Finches were led by Simon Hards 4 for 51 and Anthony Parson 3 for 34.
Some rain in the tea interval reduced the target for Finches to 46 overs.  They were two down for 14 with both openers back in the pavilion.  At 55 skipper Russell Lane was out caught.  The innings then consolidated by a superb innings from Aaron Todd who enjoyed partnerships with Sam Taylor and Darron Augustus.  When Taylor was out 64 runs were needed and then with 10 required Todd was lbw for a magnificent 124.  Finches were home for the well earned victory at 195 for 5 and a solid mid table placing in the league.
