12-05-2010 - Away - Bracknell & Dist Eve Cricket League - Bracknell vs Finch
Under blue but very chilly skies, stand in skipper Steve West won the toss and invited Bracknell to bat. With several Finch players, including skipper Alex Jones, lost in the hinterland of Bracknell this was either a very bold move or a magnificent machiavellian plan. After a shakey first over which resulted in a wicket the lads then put a lid down on Bracknell batsmen, by taking wickets and lots of dot balls. Good bowling effort with Bracknell short of the mark on 123 for 6.
In reply Finch opening pair Jonny and Marcus put on a risk free partnership of 71 but both then fell. Canus ran the only 3 of the match before hitting his signature 6. Dylan followed his father also with a 6 in the penultimate over which left Finch needing just 2 over the last 8 ball over.
