Finch Flyers Thru to Semi Final

Under a blue sky and lengthing chilly shadows the skippers approached a most ideally presented virgin pitch for this Midweek 2nd round cup match. Simon Bell elected to bat, having won the toss yet again, he is getting good at this.  Early wickets fell but the Flyers middle order came to the rescue with a fine 50 not out by Ashley Hull, Arron Todd thumping a fast 40 having scored 92 in an earlier game that afternoon, Marcus Bazley batting well for 31 and a fast running 22 by Matt Morris.  All three batsmen scoring some big 6's especially a straight drive from Marcus into the car park.

Accurate bowling, well supported in the field, restricted Crown Wood's batting reply.  Simply super direct hit run outs execuited by Aaron and Justin Clarke added to the fun and now Finch are into the Semi Final.

Scorebook retrieved (at last) and it is noted that wickets were collected by Phil, Matt and Justin with Ben snapping up a brace with all bowlers including James and Tony finsihed with economical figures.
