U9 Falcons Start the season with convincing win

A great opening performance by this years U9 Falcons side who showed great discipline in their bowling and fielding, and a solid (if occasionally over-excitable) batting performance.
 
Having won the toss and decided to bowl first there were a number of good performances with the ball - Sam Lawton-Davies, Kieran Brown and Callum Scott all bowled accurately and the team as a whole fielded really well. 3 run-outs and a couple of excellent catches were taken, including an fine effort by Jack Griffiths following good work on the boundary by Sam Lawton-Davies.
 
The batting was useful - particularly a strong middle-order innings from Jack Grifiths, but on occasion somewhat adventurous, and the team lost more wickets than would have been hoped for, but overall a very good start to the BYL league season in winning by 51 runs
