Charlie Alexander 75, Adam Davey 36, Marcus Bazley 19 and David Bellis 27 with a glorious 5 consecutive 4’s helped Squad u17 to a record score of 187 for 5 whilst everyone got bitten to death by an onslaught of midges.  In the gloom with rain threatening, Crown Wood were restricted to 73 for 6 with Anish Koshal, Marcus Bazley, bowling his newly developed spin, Tony Smith and skipper Matt Morris collecting a wicket each and a run out by David Bellis.  The team score was more amazing given cut grass had been left on a sizable outfield although the square was well prepared and the pitch was excellent.
