Finchampstead were unlucky to be beaten on the final ball of the final over. Finch batted first and reached 117-7 in their 20 overs with JJ Dewes (25) retiring not out. Tight bowling by Max Snadden (2 wickets for 14 runs from 4 overs) and Max Stevenson (1 wicket for 12 runs from 3 overs) had Guildford chasing the required 118 for most of the match. A very positive match from a team not at full strength due to District commitments and made up of some boys from our U11 squad.
