U13s Eagles Conquer Windsor in BCL 1/4 Final

Finch Eagles were drawn against Windsor in this quarter final clash for the BCL league titlle.  Finch batted first  and Dan Lincoln and Luke got the Finches off to a great start with Dan retiring on 31 and Luke making a good 27 before being caught. Josh, Dan Skinner and Sam kept up the momentum and Finches ended up with a creditable 130 off their 20 overs. In reply, the Finch opening attack made it difficult for Windsor to get off to a good start and the pressure was on as the run rate climbed. Finch had to rely on a few bowlers who were not main stream and Windsor started to score more freely but the damage had been done and eventually fell 25 runs short. Windsor were a very good side and didn't give up, chasing until the end which was to be expected from a side that had won their respective division in the league. The Eagles now move on to the semi finals and time will tell who their opponents will be.
