U11 Falcons Win away at Kidmore End

The Falcons are basically the U-11's at Finch with a couple of U-10's [Guy and George] drafted in to give a bit solidity to the top order of the batting.
This was an excellent display from the Falcons. We arrived at Kidmore End to what looked like a demolition site. They'd had an event the previous evening. Once we'd dragged the boys out of the beer tent, we got settled into the match and excellent batting by the top order [Oliver E, George, Guy, Tom W and Harry M] all played some excellent shots to get the score over the 120 mark.
The bowling was tight; Oliver C, Matt, Harry J, Tom S and Alex all putting in good spells.
But undoubtedly the two highlights of the day were a fantastic one handed catch by Oliver E to get rid of one of the KE top order, and terrific pick up and direct hit throw from Harry J to run out another of the KE batsmen.
The fielding was pretty good. There were a couple of lapses in the field, but it was an excellent first match of the season.
