04-07-2010 - Away - TCL - Guildford vs Finch
Having tied the home fixture with Guildford earlier in the season we knew it was going to be an interesting game and so it proved on another warm Sunday morning. A very small pitch with fast outfield certainly made the boys thing about field posiitons but that came after Finch had batted well and amassed 130 for 3 off their 20 overs. After an early wicket Billy, Max and Josh all made their 25 and some late hitting by Olly put us in a reasonable position.
The bowling was steady if not exceptional but the odd loose ball cost us boundaries and Guildford were always in with a shout especially when their number 4 and 5 batsmen started going for the big hits. 12 were needed off the last over and after a couple of boundaries the chance of a second tie was looming large. 2 to win off the last ball and Craig responded with a quick yorker which won Finch the game.
