Good win for Finches

Pleasant Sunday morning and all set for a competitive 'friendly' against our near rivals Eversley. Both teams were raring to go and plenty of talent on show.

Finch were put in and against some great opening bowling kept the scoreboard moving but lost wickets in the process. Playing an 'unconventional' 26 overs per side there was plenty of time to consolidate and two very good innings from Max and Tom put on 69 for the 7th wicket and allowed Finch to post a competitive target of 120. 

 

Equally as pleasing was the application of fielders and bowlers and against some good batsmen the screw was turned to leave Eversley needing 23 off the final 4 overs with 8 wickets in hand. Josh and Craig didn't give them an inch and Eversley finally came up 14 runs short. 

A really good entertaining game with some good play from both sides...
