Falcons lose 100% record

Ascot was the venue for 2nd BCL outing and having won the toss and deciding to bat Finch built a steady if unspectacular total of 126 on a very small pitch with a very quick outfield. It should have been plenty of runs with the right application but we started uncharacteristically sloppy and the theme went on through the evening. Too many quick singles allowed Ascot openers to keep the rate up and then some beligerrant hitting from numbers 3 and 4 saw the home side stack up the runs getting home with 2 overs to spare.  

A disappointing display in the field where we are usually very good. Hopefully everyone will put this one behind them and we can get back to our usual high standard.
