On a hot and humid day Finch 3's recorded a fantastic victory with a wicket and one over to spare.
After Slough decided to bat, Finch got off to a flyer by getting the 2 openers out fairly cheaply - Matt Jubb being the successful bowler in a fiery opening spell.
However Slough recovered well with a very profitable 3rd wicket partnership being mainly responsible. Finch spent much of the day with 10 men in the field due to Richard Madgwick suffering a nasty finger injury. So the bowlers and fielders toiled hard and well with some good spells from Adam Davey and Ashley Hull.

Finchampstead gott off to an excellent start with a 50 opening partnership between Matt Lay (on his promotion from the 4's) and Adam Davey. Lay went on to score an excellent 75 and was well supported by an excellent 62 from Tom Pask (also on his 3rds debut!) A good 24 by Ben Fisher got Finchampstead within 7 runs of victory when Richard Madgwick came in, despite his injury, to support Martin Jubb who hit a fantastic 6 followed by a 4 to secure a great win for Finchampstead.

A terrific effort all round by the team with some great fielding, good bowling and some excellent batting!
