27-05-2017 - Home - TVL - Finch vs Henley

All over in a hurry against Henley

With a slightly weaker team than normal Finch hosted Henley 2s at home last weekend hoping to get the season’s first win under their belt. Winning the toss on a flattish deck Finch chose to bat first hoping to put a competitive score on the board. However, after a reasonable start from Lane and Jenkins none of the Finch batters got themselves in and wickets tumbled in a flurry and Finch were rolled for their lowest score in several years for a grand total of 59. This was down largely to some excellent bowling from the Henley attack but also some loose shots from the finch middle order. Henley made very light work of the chase with the opening batters knocking off the total in only 6.2 overs. Without dwelling on this result Finch move on to Boyne Hill next week with some key experienced players back available with some repair work to be done.
